Welcome to Plainfield, Kindergarteners!

In Ms. Wendy Lopez's kindergarten class, the students enjoyed a snack before playing with different types of counting blocks.

The counting blocks helped them practice their numbers, as well as their fine motor skills.

The students then went to the carpet to learn about behavior expectations and to play a few games.

The class also enjoyed the "number corner," where Ms. Lopez asked them how to draw the number 4 because it was the 4th day of school.

Students also had a chance to play a game called "Mr. Magoo," in which the students paired up. One student would close their eyes and the other student would stand behind them giving them directions, such as walk five steps, turn, etc.

After playing games on the carpet, the students broke up into groups of five and rotated around three stations.

One station had counting and stacking blocks, another station had blocks that the students could connect together and the last station had wooden building blocks.

The kindergarteners are in for a fun year ahead!
