Scoring Stringed Musical Performances

Scoring Stringed Musical Performances
Plainfield

Plainfield Elementary School fourth graders in Ms. Stephanie Wubbena's music class are learning about different musical instruments and the sounds they create.

The class had learned about woodwind instruments and are now moving on to plucked string instruments.

After reviewing each of the instruments, the students watched various musical performances and rated them on a scale of 1 to 10.

They knew some of the songs being performed and others were new to them.

A big hit with the class was the John Williams score to the movie "Jaws."

The students also had fun listening to the song "Bohemian Rapsody" being performed by a harpist.

The final performance they watched was of a young musician named Taimone who plays the ukulele.

The students were impressed with how fast she could strum the ukulele and how talented she is.

The students enjoyed learning about the instruments, watching the performances together and rating them.
