Kindness Champions Lead the Ambassadors

Kindness Champions Lead the Ambassadors
Plainfield

Plainfield Elementary School first through fifth graders recently came together for a Kindness Ambassadors meeting during their lunch and recess.

All of the students who were kindness ambassadors last year were in attendance, as well as new students who will be kindness ambassadors this year.

During the meeting the students who were kindness ambassadors last year took a vote during the meeting and decided to be called kindness champions.

Principal Dr. Lisa Carlos explained to the kindness champions how they will now be role models for the new kindness ambassadors.

All of the students then did a “stand up, hand up, pair up activity” to get to know one another a little better.

The students stood up and walked around the room with their hands up as the music played, and when the music stopped they had to find a partner, give them a high five and ask each other a question.

After the activity, the students planned the events for World Kindness Day, which is November 13.

Activities that day will include handing out stickers to classmates, as well as passing out magnets that the students can write words of kindness on.
