A Deeper Dive into our School

We invite you to take a few minutes to take a deeper dive into the walls of our school. We are proud to share with you our celebrations, innovations and student engagements happening each and every day.

A large group of people, mostly young students, gathered in a school gymnasium or auditorium, with a colorful Beatles-themed backdrop on the wall behind them.

Twisting and Shouting to the Music of the Beatles

Third, fourth, and fifth-grade students at Plainfield Elementary School performed "The Music of the Beatles". The students sang, danced, and played instruments, sharing what they learned about the lives of the Fab Four and the stories behind their songs. The show included popular hits like "Yellow Submarine" and "Hey Jude," with the students writing the script and managing all aspects of the performance, which they presented to both the school and their families.

A classroom setting with students raising their hands and engaging in a lesson projected on the screen at the front of the room, surrounded by educational materials and displays.

Supporting the Whole Child

District 62 continues to place an emphasis on supporting the needs of all children especially as it relates to social emotional learning "SEL" and supports.
